Dr. Andreas Filzwieser - CEO
got his master degree (M.sc.) in Metallurgy from the Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria, in 1996 and his PhD. in 2000. Between 1996 and 2000 he worked as research assistant at the Non-Ferrous Department, University of Leoben, being a deputy of the head of this department for the last two years. Subsequently he joined RHI, Vienna, Austria, as head of the technical marketing department. From 2002 to 2005 Andreas Filzwieser was the managing director of the RHI Non-Ferrous Metals Engineering GmbH, Leoben, Austria.
He founded METTOP GmbH in May 2005, being active as managing director since then .
In January 2014 he co-founded UrbanGold GmbH.

Dr. Iris Filzwieser - CFO
got her master degree (M.sc.) in Metallurgy from the Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria in 2002 and her PhD in 2005. Between 2001 and 2004 she worked as research assistant at the Non Ferrous Department, University of Leoben.
She founded METTOP GmbH in May 2005. Since then she is active as managing director of Mettop and responsible for finance and all general company management functions.
In January 2014 she co -founded UrbanGold GmbH.

Dr. Martina Hanel - Senior metallurgist/Authorized signatory
joined METTOP in October 2015 after completing her doctorate at the Institute of Iron and Steel Metallurgy at the University of Leoben.
In addition to the position as assistant to the management, she is mainly responsible for the subject area ILTEC, from customer acquisition to quotation preparation to project handling.
In addition, projects on many other topics are also handled under her leadership and since 2022 she is deticated as authorized signatory.

Dr. Christoph Sagadin - Business development
In 2016, he graduated from the University of Leoben with a degree in metallurgy. After that, he worked as a PhD student at the Institute of Nonferrous Metals and spent a scholarship at the Colorado School of Mines. After his doctorate and a year as a postdoc, he moved as metallurgical engineer to the aluminum industry in 2021.
Since February 2024, he is working as a Business Developer at METTOP GmbH and is focusing on the topic of recycling.

Esli Bantjes - SALES MANAGER / PROJECT MANAGER
After completing his studies in the field of electromechanician, he used the foundation of electrical principals to focus on the manufacturing of pyrometallurgical cooling components for the smelting industry.
With a collective 15 years of experience in the pyrometallurgical industry, he joined the Mettop team in May 2023 and supports the team in the role as Sales Manager and Project Manager for cooling elements.

Michael Gröger - Head of Engineering department
Since starting his career over 30 years ago, the field of design & project management has been an integral part of his professional duties.
In recent years, he has been able to lead teams in a large international service company for automotive and fuel cell technology, both professionally and disciplinary, and realize significant contributions through partnership-based coordination with customers.
He has been Head of Engineering at METTOP since March 2024 and supports the team with his many years of experience in general mechanical and plant engineering.

DI Manuel Seidl - Engineering Department
After
successfully graduating at the higher technical college in Kapfenberg, with
special emphasis on machine and plant engineering, Manuel consequently
increased his skill level. By finishing his Masters Degree at the
Montanuniversität Leoben on the one hand side and simultaneously working as an
engineer for an internationally operating company, on the other hand side, Manuel
became a very valuable expert for the entire industry and he perfectly meets
METTOP’s approach for excellence!

DI Matthias Lindthaler - HEAD OF INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS
Matthias started as a diploma student in spring 2019 and completed his studies in Industrial Environmental Protection at the University of Leoben. Through his more than 7 years of work as an IT expert, he has specialised in digitalisation and the topic of Industry 4.0.
Since June 2020 Matthias is a permanent member of the METTOP team and has made a major contribution to the industrial development of DigMet/ESCD (Early Short Circuit Detection).

DI Regina Krenn - METALLURGIST
After successfully graduating from the University of Leoben, majoring in metallurgy with a focus on non-ferrous metallurgy, she started her professional career directly at METTOP GmbH.
Since November 2021, Regina has been supporting our team as a project manager, mainly supervising the projects of the cooler product group. Regina is also responsible for our quality management.

Marvin Münzer - Project Manager
Having been with Mettop since 2010, he successfully completed his degree in Industrial Engineering in 2023 and is currently working
on his Master's Degree in Industrial Management.
With his experience in
refractory engineering and the equally well-known METTOP gas purging system he now primarily manages and supervises the projects.

Patrick Grössinger - Engineering Department
Patrick joined METTOP´s engineering department in September 2018.
After having graduated from the HTBL Kapfenberg and having 5 years experience as engineer, he is now responsible for all ILTEC related engineering work.

Daniel Pacurariu - Engineering Department
Daniel joined METTOP after having graduated from the HTBLA in Zeltweg, Austria.
As a part of the engineering department he is responsible of all topics related to construction. He is also operating as certified and approved safety adviser.

Michael Rothwangl - Engineering Department
Michael graduated from HTBL Kapfenberg in mechanical engineering and was then able to gain many years of experience in metallurgical plant engineering.
Since June 2021, he is supporting the design department with his knowledge of plant design from conceptual design to workshop drawing.

Germana Reiter - Project management
Germana originally comes from the field of retail management, after which she also completed her master's degree at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences.
She has been part of the project management team since September 2023.

Alexander Schöllenbauer - ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Alexander operates since April 2019 as engineer in the field of P&ID´s and flowsheets. Due to his simultaneously running studies at Montanuniversität Leoben, he provides a lot of background knowledge in metallurgy and mechanical engineering.
He gained his practical experience in private sector as well as at the university, so he is a valuable member in our engineering team.

Andrè Stocker - Engineering Department
After his apprenticeship as a metalworking technician in a large international refractories company, he began studying "International Petroleum Engineering" at the University of Leoben.
Since 2019 he has been part of the Engineering Department and is jointly responsible for the ILTEC system and the copper coolers. He is also responsible for warehouse management and other technical tasks.

Michael Karner - ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
After more than 12 years of experience at a leading global steel manufacturer and a part-time education at HTBL Kapfenberg, Michael decided to take a new career path. Since April 2023, he has been bringing his expertise and skills to refractory engineering to support our team.

Nina-Sophie Gößler - PURCHASING DEPARTMENT
is mainly responsible for the purchasing department since beginning of the year 2018.
After having finished the HLW (Höhere Bundeslehranstalt für Wirtschaft) in Leoben with the higher school certificate, Nina now provides assistance in all matters concerning suppliers relations and purchasing.

After successfully graduating from the Higher Technical College in Leoben with focus on metallurgy, he started his career at Mettop.
Since January 2024, he has been supporting the Mettop-Team as a document manager and helping at the assembly of the photovoltaic systems.

completing her studies in business administration in Bulgaria and further

responsible for payroll and accounting tasks in our office since 2018.

Gerhard Lechner - Logistics
After years of successful work as a service technician in the safety field of industry, he made the transition to internal sales. In his current position, he is responsible for technical purchasing and the organisation of warehouse logistics.
